Direct Distribution's Flow Through Services

Flow through operations support our Customer's Cross-Dock and Deconsolidation service requirements. Both programs provide product traceability, maintain efficient receiving and shipping processes, and support effective document / product reconciliation processes.

Cross-Dock

Cross-Dock operations provide a "drop point" for immediate full pallet transfer from one inbound mode of transportation onto a "last-mile" delivery unit. In this service, there is typically no change in pallet configuration.

Direct Distribution accommodates both Domestic and Trans-Border cross-dock requirements. Furthermore, we maintain Canada Customs bonded areas within our facilities to accommodate "drop point" pallets that have not cleared customs.

Deconsolidation

Our deconsolidation services focus on unloading of floor loaded inbound containers from both off-shore and domestic origins. Floor load is an option utilized by many shippers to maximize cubic capacity of products for transport. At off-load, the product is removed from the container and either palletized or floor-loaded onto domestics units for furtherance. Services provide receiving and reconciliation of each unit and documented reconciliation matching to outbound configuration.
